Lilonshan Trail
Standing at 1,062m above sea level, Lilong Mountain is one of the Top 100 Lower Mountains in Taiwan. It is an extension of the southern end of the Central Mountain Range and also the only over-1,000m mid-altitude mountain in the Hengchun Peninsula. The mountain is mostly composed of thick-bedded sandstone and soaring precipitous cliffs, and huge rocks are common sights. The trail passes through a dense forest. The northern section is smooth and easy to walk, but the southern section is rather challenging. Hikers have to use both hands and legs to crawl up and down big rocks sometimes and hold on to the rope to move along the mountain wall now and then. The view from the top is very good. It is a hiking route with diverse types of landscape.
